Linda Strohschein

Owner and Principal Attorney

In July of 2022, attorney James C. Siebert retired from practice after 40 years. It was Linda’s honor to continue his legacy in the Northwest suburbs and beyond. Having grown up in Arlington Heights, Linda felt right at home expanding her practice there when she acquired Elder Law and Estate Planning Attorneys of Illinois, LLC. She is happy to have the opportunity to continue the dedicated service that James provided to his clients and their families.

In practice since 1996, Linda began her career handling Probate Litigation at a Chicago firm, along with extensive work drafting and administering Wills and Trusts, including for those with special needs. This brought the realization that properly-drafted Estate Planning documents could avoid conflicts for families later, which led her to open Strohschein Law Group in 2004. Her firm is family-owned and exclusively devoted to the practice of Estate and Long-Term Care Planning, Estate and Trust Administration, Guardianship, Probate Litigation, Veteran Benefits, and Medicaid applications.

Linda is extremely proud of the amazing team she has in place after nearly two decades in business. Linda is Certified as an Elder Law Attorney (CELA) by the National Elder Law Foundation, one of only 17 who have earned this designation in the State of Illinois. Although CELA is not required by the state, this title is achieved through a multi-faceted process and the attorney must successfully pass a comprehensive certification exam to demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of Elder Law. Linda is also a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys and serves as Treasurer of the Illinois chapter. She attended George Mason University and The John Marshall Law School.

Her mission includes giving back to the community through public speaking events. She is passionate about ensuring that both clients and the public are properly educated and informed of critical information so they have the knowledge needed to move forward in creating an estate plan that precisely reflects their goals, needs, family, and financial aspirations. This passion extends to the firm’s partners and staff, where continuing education is a high priority.

Linda has consistently received accolades from the legal and business communities, and was the 2022 recipient of the L.E.A.P. Award from the St. Charles Area Chamber of Commerce. This prestigious distinction is bestowed upon a woman who goes above and beyond the call of duty in her business, and recognizes her leadership, excellence, achievement, and professionalism.

With her two young adult children now out of the house, Linda and her husband share an empty nest with dogs Dolly and Neil.
